Suzuki Eye Clinic

Clinic specialties

All of our senses are important in life, but above all it’s important to keep your eyes as healthy as possible.
To protect your precious eyes and keep them healthy, we have the latest technology and comprehensive experience in ophthalmology. It's our great pleasure to make you feel comfortable and at home while recovering.

Watery eye

Suzuki Eye Clinic specializes in the treatment of watery eyes.
Dr. Suzuki developed a method, announced at the Japanese Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons in January 2001, for examining epiphora. He uses a microendoscope to explore the lacrimal drainage lumen in order to determine an effective inpatient or outpatient treatment for epihora.

Cataract

We believe the best choice for cataract surgery is micro-coaxial procedure performed as follows:

  1. Topical anesthesia (eyedrops)
  2. 2.0mm scleral incision
  3. Lens removal via phacoemulsification and aspiration.
  4. Implanting a foldable intraocular lens.

Because this method is an outpatient procedure, bed rest is not required and patients may return home after surgery.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is the primary cause of blindness.
Depending on the severity, we prescribe either an inpatient or outpatient surgical procedure.

Diabetes

There is a high rate of diabetes in Kitakyushu, and diabetic retinopathy is the second most common cause of blindness. At our clinic, we treat severe cases of diabetic retinopathy with an argon laser.
