Inpatient procedures

Things to bring:

  1. Underwear, toiletries (you do not need to bring a bath-basin)
  2. Tea bags (an electric hot water pot will be provided)
  3. Tea cup, eye drops, oral pills
  4. Pajamas, hand towel, bath towel, etc. (available for a small fee)
    pajamas 100yen/pair, hand towel 100yen/each, bath towel 200yen/each

Hospital rules

  • Visiting hours are between 2:30pm and 6:00pm
  • Please feel free to use the phone in your room (phone charges will be billed to you when you are discharged).
  • Breakfast starts at 8:00am, lunch is at noon, and dinner is at 6:00pm
  • Curfew is at 8:00pm. Please do not leave your room after 8:00pm or you will activate an alarm.
  • Meals can also be made available to your overnight companions. However, please try not to make any last minute changes. (Breakfast: 400yen, Lunch: 500yen, Dinner: 600yen)
  • To prevent food poisoning, outside food and drink is not allowed.
  • Please feel free to use the wired radio in your room.
  • There is no smoking allowed in the clinic. Please refrain from drinking alcohol or smoking.
  • Specifically, no open flames and please follow the staff's directions in the case of an emergency.
  • As a general rule, you will not be allowed to leave the premises. In the case of an emergency, please get permission from the director before leaving.
  • Finally, patients who do not follow these rules may be asked to leave.

Information regarding deposits for inpatient procedures

We require a deposit because there are only private rooms at our clinic. The deposit will be refunded when you are discharged.


Special information for patients receiving lacrimal surgery

  • Please have lunch before arriving at the clinic, but don't drink too many liquids and don't eat noodles.
  • Start taking the oral pills after dinner the day of the surgery. If you have stomach problems after taking the pill, or experience any other difficulties, stop taking the pills and inform your doctor at your next appointment.
  • You can eat anything you like, but you must not drink alcohol for a week.
  • Do not blow your nose until the doctor removes the packing gauze in your nose.
  • Do not do any heavy lifting any other physical labor for 2 weeks.
  • This surgery requires an overnight stay at our clinic. s After being discharged, patients who come from far away will have to stay at a hotel until their sutures can be removed (about 5 days).
